Overview
The story of pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman's adventures during the Nazi occupation in Warsaw. Szpilman uncovers work playing in a café If the city's Jews end up pushed into a ghetto. And if his family is deported in 1942, he stays below, works for some time as a laborer, and ultimately moves into hiding from the ruins of the war-torn city.
